Milwaukee residents came out to get their free test and others advocated the tests. The testing unit is named in honor of basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson who announced 18 years ago that he had HIV. The event is targeting the African-American community, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said is greatly impacted by HIV.
